Spring cleaning is what it’s about this month. Gonna let go of those winter blahs and yuck, get our fresh starts on. This week the focus is on a simple cleanse for the body. Loved finding this Weekend Reboot at MindBodyGreen.
Long, hard, arduous, nearly impossible to accomplish detoxes are what often come to mind. This one is simple — smoothie or two, a salad, soup and some veggies. It takes just a weekend. Once complete, the implication is that you’ll feel rebooted and ready to take on the fun that lies ahead! You may also have more energy for the not so fun stuff like Spring cleaning your space.
While Spring cleaning isn’t always fun, the whole idea of detoxing, whether it is our bodies, our homes, our offices, our car, or our ____________, is it helps us to feel renewed. While I’ve already spent a lot of hours this Spring on the ongoing declutter challenge, right now I’m typing this from my not so decluttered desk. In fact, it’s a wreck. It’s sucking the clarity from my thinking, and this is taking much longer to write than it might. So, next week we’ll discuss some great ideas for taking charge of your place and your space. I’d like to grab a head start on that one.
Reflexology may also provide additional support for detoxing the body. Kymberli Ker, a Registered Reflexology Therapist, has written this article: Reflexology — Detoxify and Improve Your Concentration. Have a read, and call today to schedule your reflexology session.
Just another thought for you…. The smoothie recipe featured in the article above calls for mint extract. Young Living’s “supplement labeled” peppermint essential oil may be a perfect alterntive. You may order it at Heaven Scent Essentials. Hint: peppermint is included in the “Living with Everyday Oils Kit”. Connie’s posts have already covered several essential oils you’ll find in the kit. It is a great way to start your journey into aromatherapy.
